Group Campus Visit Experience

 The Group Campus Visit Experience is an opportunity for high school student groups from 12-50 students to visit campus. The experience lasts 1 1/2 hours and consists of a brief presentation by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, followed by a walking campus tour led by a current student.
 

Group Size
During most visit days, we can accommodate groups up to 50 in size.

Timely Arrival
Please arrive on time. If you are running more than 15 minutes late, we will be unable to accommodate your group, as our Student Tour Guides are not available outside of the scheduled window.

Cancellation Notice
If you find it necessary to cancel your visit, please provide appropriate notification of this cancellation prior to the day of the scheduled visit. To cancel your planned event, please email us at groupvisits@uga.edu

Chaperones
One chaperone is required for every 10 students and/or guests. Chaperones must accompany the group on the walking campus tour and are expected to monitor the behavior of each student and/or guest during the entire campus visit. Should a group arrive without adequate chaperones, some activities (including the campus tour) will be cancelled.

Weather
The campus visit will include a substantial amount of walking. Please encourage each student and/or guest to dress appropriately with comfortable clothing, walking shoes, and bring a bottle of drinking water.

To dine on-campus, please contact UGA’s Dining Services to talk about options via email dining@uga.edu and or by phone at 706-542-1256.

Groups are welcome to bring their own sack lunches, however our office is unable to store anything.

Conduct
Please ensure your students and/or guests show respect to the university, its faculty, staff, and students during your group visit. Failure to do so may result in early conclusion of the visit. UGA also reserves the right to restrict any future visits by a group, should conduct be an issue.

Parking
If you are arriving in a bus, the best place to drop the students off will be at the Arch on Broad Street. There is a designated area for visiting buses at the Intramural Fields located adjacent to the tennis courts. Please arrive on campus at least 15 minutes prior to your check-in time to allow time to park your vehicle (if necessary) and walk to the designated Check-In location.
