Application Update
November 18, 2016
Thank you for your interest in the University of Georgia and your application to be a First-Year student in our Early Action review. Your commendable core academic credentials have been reviewed and, at this time, we are deferring the decision about your admission so that we may continue the review of your application file.
Interest this year in Early Action has been more intense than ever, and this decision means that we will have more time to consider your application materials to their fullest extent. To complete your file for the Regular Admission review, you must now submit both Part II of the application,
located on your myStatus page
, and the optional teacher recommendation by the January 15th postmark deadline. You may also wish to submit your current fall semester grades and/or additional test scores. Mid-senior-year grades must be submitted directly from your school on an official transcript, and must be sent no later than February 1st. ACT or SAT scores must be sent to UGA electronically from the respective testing agencies. Additional test scores must be taken and requested to be sent to UGA by February 11th and the February ACT will only be considered if it is taken without the ACT essay.
Our professional staff will coordinate thorough and careful reviews from January through March. We will make almost all final decisions by the beginning of April so that our applicants can have complete information on which to make their college choice decisions. Please refer to our expansive website at
www.admissions.uga.edu
for additional information about Regular Admission and vast collegiate and extracurricular resources at UGA.
Again, we are very pleased that you have allowed the University of Georgia to consider you in your search for a college home.
Best regards,
